I Be Black Girl is hiring for THREE positions:
Maternal Health Initiatives Coordinator (APPLICATIONS CLOSE OCTOBER 10):
The Maternal Health Initiative Coordinator will be a key team member on the Nebraska Maternal Health (MHI) Initiative, a 5 year grant awarded through HRSA to support positive birth and health outcomes for Black mamas, folks with the capacity for pregnancy, babies and families. This role will serve as a project manager in implementing the initiative to ensure we meet our objectives.
The ideal candidate is a self starter that has extensive experience in maternal and child health, public health and social drivers of health – to help chart a new path for Black birthing people rooted in justice based approaches. They will have attention to detail and program implementation skills.
Director of Programs (APPLICATIONS CLOSE OCTOBER 4):
This person will be a key member of the executive leadership team and will manage all portfolios of work, ensuring alignment with the organization’s mission and strategic vision. The CPO will lead the design, implementation, and evaluation of high-impact initiatives that address reproductive justice.
The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker, have extensive experience managing complex projects, and deep understanding of reproductive justice and movement-building frameworks.
Community Organizer (APPLICATIONS CLOSE OCTOBER 4):
This person will play a key role in building political power within marginalized communities, intentionally for Black women, femmes and girls, to advance reproductive justice. The ideal candidate will be passionate about grassroots organizing, community mobilization, and advocacy, particularly in communities impacted by systemic oppression. The Community Organizer will work to build relationships, develop community leaders, and mobilize people to engage in civic actions that promote reproductive health, rights, and justice.
The ideal candidate will be a focused on power building with and in community, have a strong understanding of justice based frameworks and experience in building community based movements.

After reassessing internal needs, we have decided not to move forward with filling the roles of Birth Justice Program Coordinator and Birth Justice Program Director at this time.
