Building Capacity for Training, Education, and Resources

Access to accurate and reliable information about health, health behavior, and culturally responsive healthcare, are vital to promoting maternal and child health. It equips people with the vital skills and knowledge needed to navigate complex health systems, advocate for respectful care, and increases their autonomy to manage their health and that of their families.

Expanding Maternal Birth Rights & Community Education (EMBRACE) Knowledge Center

In partnership with community members,  public health professionals and health practitioners, IBBG is creating a space that provides access to reliable information on maternal and child health, through the Expanding Maternal Birth Rights & Community Education (EMBRACE) Knowledge Center (EKC). EMBRACE was named by community members, who help guide what is offered through EKC. EKC is a knowledge hub that provides capacity-building, resources, and training on a range of culturally relevant and appropriate maternal and child health topics, designed for community members and providers.
